چکیده
Among the main objectives of Natura 2000 Network sites management plans is monitoring their conservation status under a reasonable cost and with high temporal frequency. The aim this study to assess ability single-photon light detection ranging (LiDAR) technology (14 points per m2) Sentinel-2 data classify oak forests in four special areas Navarra Province (Spain) that comprise three habitats. To capture variability within habitats, we first performed random stratified sampling based on measured field, canopy cover, terrain slope height. Thereafter, compared two metric selection approaches, namely Kruskal–Wallis Dunn tests, machine learning classification methods, forest (RF) support vector (SVM), statuses using LiDAR data. best-fit model, which included only metrics, was obtained method, an overall accuracy after validation 83.01%, 75.51%, 88.25% for Quercus robur (9160), pyrenaica (9230), faginea (9240) respectively. models include six structural diversity indices (LiDAR height evenness index, LHEI, LHDI) cover (FCC) being most relevant ones. inclusion NDVI index from image did not improve significantly. This approach demonstrates its value classifying subsequently mapping groves other habitat at regional scale, could serve more effective biodiversity

Natura 2000 Habitat Identification and Conservation Status Assessment with Superresolution Enhanced Hyperspectral (chris/proba) Imagery
Monitoring and reporting on the status of Natura 2000 habitats is an obligation under the 1992 Habitats Directive for each member state of the European Union (EU). Satellite imagery providing up-to-date information for a large areal coverage could be an interesting source to complement conventional, but laborious, field-driven surveying methods. Quality of habitats can be assessed through their...

In spite of widespread support from most member countries' societies for European Union policy, including support for the sustainable development idea, in many EU countries the levels of acceptance of new environmental protection programmes have been and, in particular in new member states, still are considerably low. The experience of the countries which were the first to implement union direc...

Natura 2000 Habitat Conservation Status is currently evaluated based on fieldwork. However, this is proving to be unfeasible over large areas. The use of remote sensing is increasingly encouraged but covering the full range of ecological variables by such datasets and ensuring compatibility with the traditional assessment methodology has not been achieved yet. We aimed to test Airborne Laser Sc...

testing plays a vital role in any language teaching program. it allows teachers and stakeholders, including program administrators, parents, admissions officers and prospective employers to be assured that the learners are progressing according to an accepted standard (douglas, 2010). the problems currently facing language testers have both practical and theoretical implications but the first i...
Conservation Status and Potential Threats to Natura 2000 Forest Habitats in Slovenia Status Zaštite I Potencijalne Ugroženosti Šumskih Staništa Na Području Ekološke Mreže Natura 2000 U Sloveniji
An example of the possible use of selected forest-stand based indicators for evaluation of conservation status was shown in case of the Natura 2000 forest habitats of Slovenia, and the potential threats to habitat types were identified. Using the existing forest-management system, and two levels of ICP Forests monitoring as sources of data on the size of habitat, tree composition, developmental...
